Ever heard the quiet
never saw the seen
make the river revolt
messing up the screen
make the numbers tumble
what did you want me
to hear the quiet
to ask for the scream
shrink-wrap
hear the crackle
where'd the war go
feel it falling
where's the snow
copper wires crossing
in all the wrong places
watch them twist and distort
wait where'd the words go?
In times of need they stand there
in times of need they bow
to conquer all the evil
to free you now
Ramble much?

Fanciful Images upon the sky
This is a poem that I am writing for a contest.
It's about horses if you couldn't tell.
It's about horses if you couldn't tell.
Shades now cast by the shimmering moon,
upon woven waves of silver grasses,
brilliant teals and vibrant blues.
As we made our way through the hollowed passes.
Our own pelts in silent hues.
Our solid feet free from heavy shoes.
Shadows hide us from her gaze,
As we slip between this escarpment.
Our mind and souls, having been set ablaze,
these leather girths, tattered, time has rent.
And this ice chilled dew, it clings to our slender legs.
Yet being one with the night, our spirits soon forgave,
The piercing touch it gave us.
We beget these thundering sounds,
beating, tapping, drumming. The solid ground.
The moon is quite pleased of this rhythm we've found.
Graceful prancing in the blue light.
On sloping shoulders, it grants it's blessing.
The Moon, it slips, softly from our sight…
The storm is brewing,
the rivers rise.
And all this time,
we keep our mirroring eyes.
Upon the empty,
and darkened skies.
Among the clouds,
we catch glimpses of the past.
Hear our ancestors' hooves, strike flint to steel. We see the sparks they send flying.
We dance in fright,
at these stunning sights,
our minds refused to believe.
that we too,
begin our flight,
on this storming eve.
This is a link to the image that sparked the poem.
HINT: If you look between the two horses on the left you can see another horse in the clouds. It has what appears to be a fly-mask over it's eyes or something. You can easily see it's ears.

Chance
Free from alterations,
the purest thought of my mind.
Written down with perfect rhythm,
Spoken now with perfect rhyme.
This time I wonder,
This time it seems.
Perfect for reasons,
I've yet to see.
This is the year,
To figure things out,
The blessings we're giving,
For peaceful,
Understanding.
I've been blown away by so many emotions.
And my eyes have been open,
to a new and marvelous world.
Slow down, slow down.
There is good in this world.
Miracles,
miracles,
I've seen them now.
Out of thin air it comes,
Move someone's soul now.
This is the heartfelt love,
I wish to know now.
This is the time for chance,
this is my time,
All will come,
All will come.
We are in a single bond,
better then before,
each moment that passes,
brings a tear...
a tear of joy to my eyes.
We'll receive the love,
We will share our love,
Bring the world closer,
ever closer to our love.
Words upon this screen,
I hope that you'll be seen,
in places of need,
trapped by their greed.
Free us from this chain,
we are free.
we are free.
Humans all the same,
we are free.
we are free.
Bold and Cheerful,
Hearts of gold.
Twisting, wringing in our hands,
But our story will go on,
Silence,
I love the silence.
the perfection of it all.
Can I bring hope to the lovers?
Hush now,
Silent givers,
Heard the news,
Slightly blinded,
by the blur,
of tears,
We will see,
we will see,
there is good out here.
Smile now,
cheer for us,
we will be the wonders,
Smile now.
we can smile,
smile.
words.
so jumbled,
yet clear.
burning tears,
burning tears.
My emotions run wild,
this is my sanity,
from the chaos that had held me.
Release me now.
Release me now.
I can fly in the clouds,
Say hello to old friends there,
Receive my hope.
receive my hope.
Thank you.
thank you.
thank,
you,
for this...
gift.
Feel the rush,
losing time,
but now I see,
that it is all mine.
I can be brave,
I learn to wait,
And relax,
just relax.
Find the peace and share it,
Comforting words and share it.
All your heart and share it.
Even if it's not yours to give.
There is a helping hand,
just give your thought.
and let it fly,
up to the heavens now.
It seems so easy,
now you try,
And I'll hold your hand.
There we go,
a pleasant smile.
a thought of surety,
Or better.
Or better.
I'll give this or better.
Let's help each other,
what's meant to be,
bring the smiles,
to others.
bring the tears of hope,
to others.
We will make it through this,
Thank you for holding my hand.

More clutter.
Eyes dry, painfully so.
Feel like the desert is closing in.
What can you do about it, little girl?
Nothing more then grin.
Seems like it sometimes.
Make it the words
that you need to remember
Finding the echos of the worlds that you knew
maybe it'll all get better.
Dancing through all the fears
and the work
Skipping a job here and there
Losing your grip,
falling to the earth once again.
Distractions like the wind and sun,
Little brothers who love to run
I'm closer to the edge
now
it seem like forever
and it won't be the same
when you look to the heavens
and you find somebody to blame
and there so many stories
that you wish to tell
and there so many places
that you could set sail
to the ocean
to the tides
you'll always
be mine
and there is so many
things to do
that there is always
stories for you.
And the ocean, touches the sea
make it perfect
just for me
the sweet sand
beneath my feet
you'll remember
just to be.
Cleaner waters
don't be mad
if you had to
be sad.
Watch the ocean
the horizon
feel the moments
Feel like the desert is closing in.
What can you do about it, little girl?
Nothing more then grin.
Seems like it sometimes.
Make it the words
that you need to remember
Finding the echos of the worlds that you knew

Watch the ocean
the horizon
feel the moments
We wait for so long in this dream of ours,
A place that we've known.
These memories shocking and brilliant light,
Closer to the many places we've flown.
The birds are like eagles tonight.
Here our words are unspoken.
The rhythm and the rhyme?
Hollow caution we all take,
Ending in this little town besides the lake.
But you wish for the best,
Little pieces that can bind.
In this world we do rest,
Newer are the many places to find.
Do you remember this time?

Free your mind...
Below are some poems and words that my mind produced. It's so relieving to sit here at my computer and write the words that come to mind. No planning, no seeing the bigger picture, just let it all out.
It seems like sometimes I'm so lost in it all.
The waiting, the faking, the perfect brawl.
I timed it just right, to the water's perfection
I made it a fight,
The common rejection.
You stared out the window on this weather remorse.
Scared to turn your head, to look over your shoulder.
Even if you might see the pool of light behind you.
It's all right, don't fret yourself over it.
Common is fine, you've done it here before.
Perfection,
Such a simple word.
The weather is confused, thought the child wanted snow.
Then gave the child's heart's desire.
For the child give such an awful show.
"I wanted something different!" The child shouts and pouts. "I wanted sun! Today I had planned to play and run."
Slowly Mother enters. Her heart is hurting now. "Yet just last week you prayed for snow. God answered your prayer. How could you throw such a blessing away like that?" She asks.
The child frown and fuss. "That was last week! I changed my mind. Didn't God see that I wanted sun this time?"
She shakes her head sadly, "Can't you be thankful for the blessings you received?"
Ask yourself a question,
Bring yourself to reason,
Maybe it's the season.
Maybe it's the season.
A better timing,
To the world's losing and finding,
It's a better reason,
To believe that there is hope.
I believe that you can find just about anything that you want to see.
Maybe is a word that is too often found.
Finding peace. Crouching lower to the ground.
Feel the earth contact you,
Rushing through your hands.
Here the perfect proof to you,
that there is such a plan.
Everything will work out now,
Give it all your best.
Feel the gentle beat,
Of your heart at rest.
These words so commonly
Spoke,
That I wish to see,
Why the rhyme in my
Hope,
Has hardly count on me.
My past time,
Relax time,
Perfection.
To find peace of mind,
Get swept away,
In the events of the day.
Now find the,
Common rhythm.
Gibberish,
Some might say,
Is better,
Then the truth.
But if you see,
What all is here,
You might,
Ask for proof.
Words mean emotion,
Let your heart show life.
And in the familiar,
Time of sleep,
Maybe you might catch a peep,
Of the truth that haunts your night.

White mouse-
White mouse, white mouse, on the counter.
Where just might
be the summer?
Has it left you
in the cold?
I am sorry...
What a bummer.
White mouse, white mouse, in the mousetrap.
Where is your spouse?
Is he silver, is he gray?
Will he be visiting us someday?
Your fur does make me wonder,
Are there toxins here about?
Is there some other reason…
that I might see such a mouse?
I've seen the silver, brown and grey.
I've seen them all before.
But in this very day,
I've found you on the floor.
Your pelt is white with silver limbs, You body stiff and cold.
And yet it seems I've found the rhythm of your heart...
Or so my mind is told.
White mouse, White mouse,
I must confess.
I did not force you to this mess.
This is my house.
And we have no use for such a mouse!
This is my home,
Not a place for you to freely roam!
If you thought winter might be cold,
With its ice and snow that does chill.
Compare it now to your body,
Hard and still.
And to the frozen grave you'll find.
I'm sorry for your loss.
But I warned you,
Did I not?
While I'm glad to share my home,
With many poor and cold lost souls,
You did not follow all the rules!
You were rude and made a racket,
I lost hours of my sleep!
And over the counter you did peep,
I forgot you liked to creep!
Tipped the bottle from it's rack,
Tore a hole into this sack!
You're making me a wreck!
Now these traps are for my safety.
I would hate to fall and slip,
On the puddle of your mess,
When to the floor it could drip!
White mouse, White mouse,
I hope you find a heaven.
Yet before my house you do enter,
Be sure to ask my permission!
I saw a dead, light colored mouse in one of our mousetraps and I felt the sudden inspiration to write this poem.
Every other generation...
For ever world there is an equal and opposite. In this case:
Family curse.

Late night hauntings
Whispers, stories, all around me. Softly, softly hear them calling.
Morning, evening, all the whispering. Hear them, hear them all together.
Heart felt strings were tugging at me.
Hear them, oh hear them, can't you see?
Whispers, oh whispers all around me.
Hear them, oh hear them suddenly.
Silence, oh silence, who would see them.
Bringing, oh bringing all the emotions.
Calling, oh calling closer to me.
Did you, oh did you see?
Movement in the darkest corner?
Whispers, oh whispers of the stories?
Brought me, oh brought me from the house.
Made me wish that I wasn't out.
Make me, oh make me feel the cold breeze.
Whispers, oh whispers please?
Tell that tale you told so finely.
Make me feel that chill start to creep.
Shadows, oh shadows on the wall,
I knew you, and I warned them.
Had they known, that they could fall?
I could hold the whispers closer.
...
Then I made the morning shatter.
I was singing this to myself so I wrote down this song. (In a few months after I write more random songs you might notice that I have a fondness of singing about whispers and stories. I personaly do not understand why.) Yay for halloween induced spooks that make me sing! Beware of the orange pumpkins.

He is the Wish. She is the Fantasy. And I am the Dreamer.
Have you smiled today?
Bring winter closer.
Feel the breeze on your lips.
And the time frolics faster and faster 'round,
He was the Wish. A perfectly formed one. "Believe in ME!" It said, "Believe in me."
You couldn't vision the future in the moment that you made it.
You said it wasn't true.
But he is the proof.
The proof...
He was the proof of a greater story.
Life is a story. It's true like these words.
I believe.
She is the Fantasy. A wonderful time. She is the Fantasy that has soon to come true.
You might not see it. You might not dream it. But I have the secret...
I know that I can believe.
And who I am? Who can I be?
I am the Dreamer. Yes, I am the Dreamer of a greater tale.
To the Dreamer's Wish, May his heart be filled.
To the Dreamer's Fantasy, May her future be known.
I wish you good night.
Bring winter closer.
Feel the breeze on your lips.
